The First Gen Hunter Podcast

The deer family is the best grouping of wildlife on the planet. Here in North America we are blessed with many species that fit that classification, but the two most iconic deer are whitetails and mule deer. Guest Ronnie Hemsworth did a lightning fast trip to Colorado to take a crack at hunting the deer of the west- mule deer. He shares his story of the hunt, as well as the explanation for his 9 fingers. Its a great episode I'm sure you will enjoy!

No punched tag yet? It stings, I know! But we still have hope. Bucks are still finding does every day and you can intercept one if you take advantage. Chris gives a master class on how to get a buck before the rut wraps up. We also talk about how cows affect deer movement, and Chris shares some awesome hunting stories as well.

You read the title right. Apparently there is more to hunting Utah than elk and mule deer. Adam Madden has built his life around dogs, and he and his family love to hunt with them. We discuss hunting chukar and blue grouse in the mountains, and pheasants in the valleys. We also talk about Adam growing up hunting coons and quail in Missouri. It's an interesting conversation that I'm sure you will enjoy.

This is a sad, strange story that comes out of the deer woods. I was joined by Caleb and his friend Dillon to help tell this crazy story. Be warned, there are no happily ever afters in this story.
